It’s so fun to see a great cast in an authentic space telling a wild story. It’s pretty much what you go to theatre for, and the current presentation of The 4th Graders Present An Unnamed Love-Suicide hits in every way a play should.

Hats off to set designer Brandon Estrella who transformed the Ballard Underground into an amazing 4th grade classroom. I can only imagine what it was like playing in such a true environment. Some of our favorite Seattle actors were in this show to boot. Geoff Finney (a Copious Company Member) carried us across a horrific day in the 4th grade with a diabolically tragic performance as the show’s lead. Molly Tellers, Caitie Auld, Melissa Slaughter, Josh Bornstein, Lily Cohen – you guys all did amazing playing a group of fourth graders. And Corissa DeVerse was such a sweet voice on those sad songs punctuating the show.

This production is certainly one to check out. We had a great time getting to feel like the 5th graders, and watching one boy’s life completely unravel over the course of a day in elementary school. Apologies for the brevity, all I have to say is: go see it!
