Tony Gavilanes, PRODUCER & TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Tony is an audiovisual event producer and an artist, having founded Technical Event Production in 2005 and Copious Love Productions in 2010. Amongst a plethora of performances and creative designs across the world, CODENAME: KANSAS is without a doubt the most exciting production he will ever have worked on. He secured a partnership with the Seattle Academy of Interactive Entertainment and sponsored over a dozen student internships. Tony is the Business Manager of Copious Love and is the Oz behind the curtain of the videos, graphics, website, marketing programs, company structures and workflows, in addition to providing Technical Direction for productions. This will be Tony’s last hurrah on the front lines of a Copious Love show as he focuses on his business and hopes to grow a Board of Directors for Copious Love so that the institution of this company will sustain well into the future.
L. Nicol Cabe, DIRECTOR
L. Nicol Cabe focuses on new, locally-written theatre and believes in the amazing talent collected in Seattle. In the past, she participated in Director’s Lab West 2014, and has worked with such wonderful Seattle theatre companies as Annex Theatre, Live Girls! Theatre, Taproot Theatre Company, and Ear to the Ground. She has also worked on shows with Cornish College of the Arts, Theater Schmeater, and Work It Productions’ Shakespeare on the Troll. She premiered her solo performance, “Infinite Expectation of the Dawn,” at Seattle Fringe Fest 2014, and will perform it again at the upcoming Fringe Explosion! at Pocket Theatre in November. And if you buy her a margarita, she might talk about her very first solo performance, “Sockpuppet MacBeth.”
Dick Phillips, AUTHOR
Brendan Barr, SCRIPT WRITER
Lacy Gavilanes, STAGE MANAGER
Lacy is the Executive Director of Copious Love Productions and super excited to be on the front lines as Stage Manager for CODENAME: KANSAS, Witch Hunter! Lacy had the good fortune of witnessing Dick & Brendan plant this seed of an idea and watched it take bloom during the script writing process. She looks forward to sharing this incredible stage experience with Seattle and maybe even contributing to the evolution of theatre as a whole. Since founding Copious Love in 2010, Lacy has produced eight original productions and hosted numerous community programs and events that engage artists toward deeper community within our city. She continues to be amazed by our artistic populace and the power we have to change the way art is viewed in our city.

Brendan Mack, SET DESIGN, WEAPONS DESIGN & FABRICATION
Brendan Mack Loves Copious Love so much. Maybe it’s the people? Maybe it’s the quality of fun and exploration in their productions? Maybe it’s the amazing content they choose to develop and produce? It is all of these factors. Brendan fell in love with Copious Love with their production of Cedar & The Redwoods, served as the director for Alice’s Anthem (2014 production) and is so excited to be spreading paint for the set on this production. Mack serves as the Artistic Director for STAGEright Productions- Past productions including Are You There God? It’s me Karen Carpenter, The Pirates of Penzance, All in the Timing – Set Design for the Elephant Man with STAGEright. Designs for Theater Schmeater- Crooked, The Glass Menagerie, The Twilight Zones LIVE!! And producing writer and props designer for Sister Leigh Love on Youtube and PLAYTIME -TIME. Saya Jean, HAIR & MAKE-UP DESIGN
Saya Jean has been the Hair & Makeup Manager for every show Copious Love has ever done. She has been keeping the actors gorgeous and well coiffed from the beginning of Copious Love and this is a show where she can no doubt flex her design muscles. But rest assured she will rock your world on and off the stage as the baddest bitch in the CLP family. The character of KANSAS is actually based on this lovable and fouled-mouthed badass who is often referred to as “Mama Saya.”

Jeremiah Holt, COSTUME DESIGN ASSISTANT
Chelsea Chon, FABRICATION
Tom Dewey, FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHER
David Torres, MOVEMENT COORDINATOR
David Torres is a mad scientist recently transplanted to South Seattle from North Seattle via an undisclosed, secure medical facility. He has been cleared for most interaction involving small woodland creatures, but truth be told, humans are still against professional recommendation. Copious Love secured David’s work clearance by informing the interested medical staff that his work load would primarily be in solitude away from the team rather than in direct contact with the whole cast and production team.
Stevie VanBronkhorst, CHARACTER ARTIST
Lector Morales, MAP ARTIST
Isobel Bradbury, GAME MASTER
Isobel Bradbury is thrilled to be making her premiere collaboration with Copious Love through such an exciting project! Isobel recently completed her degree in Theatre-Literature from Reed College and is excited to be returning to her home town of Seattle to continue making compelling and innovative theatre. When not Game Mastering for KANSAS, Isobel can be found performing renegade dramaturgical analyses on strangers’ conversations and scribbling ideas for scripts in one of her many Very Important Secret Notebooks. She hopes that you all have as much fun watching KANSAS as she has had working on it, though she doubts that will be possible.

With a long term interest in interactive media and live performance, Ian was tractor-beamed by CODENAME: KANSAS the moment he heard about it. His role involves specifying and gluing together our unique combination of hardware and software, and organizing/supporting programming work for the custom control system that will drive the show. Ian’s educational background includes an art degree from the University of Northern Iowa and recently, a diploma in video game programming from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment here in Seattle. In addition to KANSAS, Ian is working as a Technical Artist/Sound Designer on a multiplayer disc-throwing battle arena game called V-Bound and is the visual component of the extemporaneous audio-visual performance group, Kaleidosaur.
